Srivaikuntam is an Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency within the Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu. It falls below the Thoothukudi Lok Sabha constituency.
In the 2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly election, the Thiruvaikundam constituency had a complete of two,07,471 registered voters.

Past election outcomes and winners
In the 2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly election, SP Shanmuganathan of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam celebration (AIADMK) gained the Srivaikuntam seat. He gained 65,198 votes, as in opposition to 61,667 votes gained by his primary rival Rani Venkatesan V of Congress.
In the 2011 Assembly elections, SP Shanmuganathan of AIADMK gained this seat by beating MB Sudalaiyandi of Congress.
Election date and timing
The Tamil Nadu Assembly polls shall be held on 6 April 2021, together with Kerala and Puducherry. The day may also see part three polls in Assam and West Bengal. 92,000 polling cubicles shall be there for the meeting polls. The counting of the votes is scheduled for two May.
The official notification of the Assembly polls within the state is scheduled for 12 March. The nomination of candidates shall be accepted from then until 19 March. The scrutiny of nominations shall be achieved on 20 March and the final date for withdrawal of candidature is 22 March.
The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly has a complete variety of 234 seats, of which 45 are reserved constituencies (42 SC constituencies and three ST Constituencies). The present time period of the Assembly ends on 24 May 2021.
