Mettuppalayam is an Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency within the Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu. It falls beneath the Nilgiris Lok Sabha constituency.
In the 2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly election, the Mettuppalayam constituency had a complete of two,79,110 registered voters.

Past election outcomes and winners
In the 2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly election, OK Chinnaraj of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) gained the Mettuppalayam seat. He gained 93,595 votes, as towards 77,481 votes gained by his major rival S Surendraran of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).
In the 2011 election, OK Chinnaraj of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) had gained the Mettuppalayam seat by defeating B Arunkumar of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).
Election date and timing
