Stock Market: Sensex, Nifty Trade Flat Amid Volatility. FMCG And Realty Gain


The 2 key fairness benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty, on Thursday have been buying and selling flat amid volatility monitoring combined world sentiment. At 9.45 am, the BSE Sensex declined 100 factors to 61,675. Alternatively, the NSE Nifty50 was buying and selling at 18,256, down 29 factors.

On the 30-share Sensex platform, Tata Motors, M&M, Wipro, TechM, SBI, HCL, HDFC have been within the pink. On the upside, ITC, Nestle, Kotak Financial institution, Energy Grid, Airtel, NTPC have been among the many early winners.

Amongst particular shares, shares of Nykaa gained over 1 per cent after the corporate rose by 33.7 per cent YoY to Rs 1,302 crore in Q4FY23. Moreover, shares of Life Insurance coverage of Company (LIC) surged over 2 per cent after the corporate recorded standalone revenue over 400 per cent YoY in Q4FY23.

Within the broader markets, Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 indices slipped as much as 0.2 per cent.

Volatility index, India VIX, declined over 2 per cent.

Sectorwise, Nifty FMCG and Nifty Realty indices marched ahead in commerce, gaining as much as 0.6 per cent. On the flipside, Nifty Metallic and Nifty Auto indices have been subdued in commerce.

Within the earlier session on Wednesday, the S&P BSE Sensex declined 208 factors to 61,774, alternatively the Nifty50 shut store at 18,285, down 62 factors.
