“Nor does Congress have the facility to serve subpoenas ‘for the non-public aggrandizement of the investigators or to punish these investigated.’ “

Bragg’s swimsuit says that the subpoena, and different calls for by Jordan for info, “search extremely delicate and confidential native prosecutorial info that belongs to the Workplace of the District Legal professional and the Individuals of New York.”
“Fundamental ideas of federalism and customary sense, in addition to binding Supreme Courtroom
precedent, forbid Congress from demanding it,” the swimsuit says.
Jordan shortly responded to Bragg in a tweet.
“First, they indict a president for no crime,” Jordan wrote. “Then, they sue to dam congressional oversight after we ask questions concerning the federal funds they are saying they used to do it.”
