Karnataka Minister Munirathna has been booked by the police for his alleged hate speech towards Christians. A case was registered towards the Minister on a grievance by a gazetted officer who charged him with selling enmity amongst individuals.

In an interview to a non-public information channel on March 31, Munirathna, Horticulture Minister within the Basavaraj Bommai authorities, had purportedly mentioned, “Christians are changing individuals on this second additionally. Conversion is most within the slums. In locations the place 1,400 persons are there, 400 have been transformed. If they arrive (for conversion) then kick them out or give grievance on the police station.”

The Rajarajeshwarinagar police booked the BJP MLA from RR Nagar beneath Part 117 (abetting Fee of offence), 153A (selling enmity between varied teams or faith) of the Indian Penal Code and 125 of Folks’s Illustration Act (Selling enmity between courses in reference to election).
