New Delhi: National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday introduced the postponement of Joint Entrance Examination – (Main) 2021’s April session.
The first two periods have already been accomplished in February and March. The dates for the recent session can be introduced a minimum of 15 days previous to the examination.
NTA is organising the JEE (Main) examination in four periods. 6,20,978 candidates appeared within the first session and in session 2, there have been 5,56,248 college students. The third session was scheduled to be held on April 27, 28 and 30.
But wanting on the Coronavirus scenario, the April session has been postponed. Revised dates can be introduced later, NTA said including that candidates can be knowledgeable about the identical a minimum of 15 days forward of the examination.
Previously, The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for post-graduate college students, which was scheduled to be held on April 18, was postponed due to the rising Covid-19 instances.
“In light of the surge in Covid-19 cases, GoI has decided to postpone the NEET PG 2021 exam which was earlier scheduled to be held on Apr 18. Next date to be decided later. Decision has been taken keeping wellbeing of our young medical students in mind,” Dr. Harsh Vardhan wrote in his tweet.
The NEET PG examination was earlier slated to be held in January however was postponed due to the Covid scenario.
Students of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have been additionally relieved because the Class 10 board exams have been cancelled whereas class 12 examinations postponed after Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the considerations in a gathering with Education Minister, Secretary and different vital officers.
CBSE Class 12 exams can be held later, CBSE will evaluate the scenario on June 1. As for Class 10, college students can be promoted on foundation of inside evaluation.
