New Delhi: The Centre on Sunday requested the governments of varied states and Union Territories to make sure the usage of liquid oxygen will not be allowed for any non-medical objective and that each one manufacturing models might maximise their manufacturing of liquid oxygen and make it accessible to the federal government to be used of medical functions solely with speedy impact till additional orders.
“Further, all stocks of liquid oxygen, should be made available to the Government for use for medical purposes. No exemption is allowed to any industry with regard to use of liquid oxygen,” the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) stated in its order.

The MHA issued an order beneath the Disaster Management Act, 2005, earlier on Thursday directing the states and UTs to take varied measures to make sure an uninterrupted provide of medical oxygen throughout the nation.
