The incident passed off on Monday in entrance of the Ramanujganj department of the Zilla Sahkari Kendriya Financial institution and a video of it went viral on social media on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters, President of Zilla Sahkari Kendriya Financial institution Karamchari Sangh Ambikapur R Okay Khare mentioned cooperative banks workers are offended and pained over the assault on the staffers.

When contacted, an unrepentant Singh accused financial institution workers of misbehaving with farmers and committing monetary irregularities.
The financial institution workers misbehaved with a 70-year-old farmer, Lakhan Singh, a resident of Mahaveer Ganj, when he went to withdraw his cash, claimed the Congress legislator.
Misbehaviour with farmers won’t be tolerated, he mentioned.
In the meantime, the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Get together (BJP) demanded the elimination of Singh as MLA for the violent act.
