China’s first homegrown passenger jet takes off on maiden commercial flight – Times of India

BEIJING: China’s first domestically produced passenger jet, the C919, took off on its maiden industrial flight on Sunday.
China Jap Airways flight MU9191 rose into the skies above Shanghai Hongqiao Airport simply after 10:30 am (0230 GMT), footage from state broadcaster CCTV confirmed.
The aircraft is carrying over 130 passengers on China Jap Airways flight MU9191 to Beijing’s Capital Worldwide Airport, CCTV mentioned.
The flight is predicted to land at its vacation spot at 1:10 pm (0510 GMT), in response to the airline’s web site.
Footage broadcast by state media confirmed dozens of passengers gathering on the sun-drenched Shanghai airfield to admire the modern white jet.
They then filed into the narrow-body aircraft which taxied to the runway earlier than taking off.
Passengers acquired crimson boarding passes and can get pleasure from a luxurious “themed meal” to commemorate the flight, CCTV reported.
